The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) is a display team of the Royal Air Force that showcases historic aircraft from World War II. The BBMF flies iconic aircraft in it’s collection, including the Avro Lancaster, Supermarine Spitfire, and Hawker Hurricane.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) is a display team of the Royal Air Force that showcases historic aircraft from World War II. Established on July 11, 1957, at RAF Biggin Hill, the BBMF initially consisted of three PR Mk XIX Spitfires and the RAF’s last airworthy Hurricane, LF363. Over the years, the BBMF added various iconic aircraft to its collection, including the Avro Lancaster, Supermarine Spitfire, and Hawker Hurricane.

The BBMF regularly participates in events commemorating the Second World War and British State occasions, providing aerial displays featuring these historic aircraft. They also conduct flypasts and displays at airshows and events throughout the summer, subject to weather conditions and aircraft serviceability. It is always a special experience to witness the BBMF’s flight demonstrations, as they pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the pilots and crews during the Battle of Britain.
